Dr. Shishir Lakhey is the Head of Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has done his MS Ortho from AIIMS, New Delhi, India and fellowship training in Knee & Shoulder Surgery from Cairns, Australia. His previous affiliation was as Professor and Head, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. He was also a teaching faculty & Orthopedic Surgeon at BPKIHS, Dharan, before joining Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. He has been actively involved in teaching MBBS students & Postgraduate students of Orthopedic Surgery. He was also the Chief of Disaster Management Team at Kathmandu Medical College and First Response Team for Tribhuvan International Airport. He is currently the President of Arthroscopic Society of Nepal (ASON) and the Editor In Chief of Nepal Orthopedic Association Journal (NOAJ).
