Causes of Low sodium are many and include hormonal, kidney and brain disease. Some medicines also can cause low sodium. Loose motion, vomiting, avoidance of salt, excessive water intake, dehydration due to heat are frequently encountered causes. I think in your case BP medicine might be main cause to reduce sodium level. Repetitive and Persistent low sodium with/without altered consciousness requires urgent evaluation in hospital setting.
